Kellie Martin (born Kellie Marien) is an acclaimed American actress. She has starred in a variety of TV and film series, including "Christy", the comedy about a teenage girl named Christy Huddleston. Her other roles of note include the title role of the Hailey Dean Mystery series. Born to a department-store buyer and a kindergarten teacher Martin started her acting career in the age of seven years old when her aunt who worked as a nanny for Michael Landon's children was able to help her get an appearance in the series of 1982 'Father Murphy'. After graduating at Yale University she began to take acting seriously and landed roles on the small screen and big. In addition to being an actress Martin is a skilled photographer, as well as a dancer. A mother of two, she's the official spokesperson for Lupus and has been frequently raising awareness about the condition since her sister died of it in just 19.
